Privacy policy
Last updated: 22 July 2026
The short version
- We never ask you for anything: no forms, no sign-up, no accounts.
- All we collect is anonymous visit statistics — to see what gets read and what breaks.
- Opting out takes a couple of clicks, and nothing on the site stops working.
1. Who processes the data
The site murmio.games belongs to Murmio Games, an independent game studio based in Russia, which also acts as the data controller.
For anything in this policy, write to hello@murmio.games.
2. What is collected
The site is a set of static pages. It asks for no name, email or phone number, creates no accounts and takes no payments. Everything below is gathered automatically when a page loads, and none of it identifies you personally:
- IP address;
- browser type and version, operating system, screen resolution, language;
- the page you arrived from (referrer), and the search query if there was one;
- which pages you opened, in what order and for how long;
- an anonymous identifier in a cookie, so a returning visit can be told apart from a new one.
In addition, Yandex.Metrica’s Webvisor records the browsing session: pointer movement, scrolling and clicks. This is how we spot where a page is awkward or broken. There are no input fields anywhere on the site, so there is simply no typed text to record.
3. Who exactly does it
We run no analytics of our own — we rely on third-party counters. They collect and store the data on their own servers under their own rules, and show us aggregate reports only.
- Yandex.Metrica (counter no. 110938196) — Yandex privacy policy, Metrica terms of use.
- Google Analytics 4 — Google privacy policy, how Google uses data from partner sites.
4. What it is for
- Seeing which pages get read and which get closed immediately.
- Finding what is broken: dead links, slow or failing pages.
- Knowing where visitors come from, so effort goes where it works.
What we do not do: sell data, share it with anyone beyond the services listed above, build advertising profiles, or show ads on the site.
5. Cookies and browser storage
The counters in section 3 set their own technical cookies:
- Yandex.Metrica —
_ym_uid,_ym_d,_ym_isad,_ym_visorc; - Google Analytics —
_gaand_ga_<id>.
The site’s own storage amounts to one thing, and it is not even a cookie: your chosen theme (light or dark) is kept in browser local storage under the key murmio-theme. That value never leaves your device and is sent nowhere.
6. Web server logs
Like any website, ours keeps an access log: IP address, request time, requested URL and browser string. It is used only for troubleshooting and abuse protection — never for behavioural analysis, and it is shared with no one.
7. How to opt out
Opting out breaks nothing: pages, themes, languages and everything else keep working.
- Block cookies in your browser settings, or use any content blocker.
- Official Yandex.Metrica opt-out — yandex.com/support/metrica/general/opt-out.
- Google Analytics opt-out add-on — tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
8. Your rights
You may ask what we hold about you and request that it be corrected, restricted or deleted. Write to hello@murmio.games and we will answer. Since the site collects nothing that identifies a person, the answer will usually be “we hold nothing about you” — but we will still look into it properly.
9. Scope of this policy
This policy covers the site murmio.games only. Our games are published on third-party platforms such as Yandex Games, where those platforms’ own rules apply. When you open a game, their policy is the one that governs it, not this one.
Outbound links from this site (Telegram, VK) lead to services we neither control nor answer for.
10. Changes
The date at the top is the last update. If something material changes — a new counter, for instance — we will say so in the devlog rather than quietly editing the text.
